About the event

WORLD  PREMIERE:

We are excited to partner with the Camano Island Chamber of Commerce to feature the world premiere screening of Glass Quest, a documentary short film by Emmy-Award winning filmmaker Georgia Krause, as a flagship event for MAC Fest. Filmed during the 2024 Northwest Glass Quest event, this short film provides an intimate look at our local “questing” community and promises to showcase some familiar faces.

2024 was the 15th Northwest Glass Quest, and what a year it was! Filmmakers Georgia Krause & Sam Wolff followed questers on their search for treasure, capturing the magic and surprise of this incredible event. Their short film, Glass Quest, will debut at Stanwood Cinemas at the Pavilion, before hitting the film festival circuit.

NWGQ is a unique 10-day treasure hunt for hand blown glass balls on Camano Island and Stanwood, Washington. The event is organized by the Camano Island Chamber of Commerce every February to boost business in our area during the shoulder season.

MAC Fest is SCAAC’s 2024 fundraiser – – we’re raising funds to bring art education into our schools, offer free programs at community events and support local artists – all the good stuff! We decided to forgo a one-night gala and throw an 8-day arts festival for the whole community. Suits our mission better and will be way more fun.
