About the event
Join local artist Shogo Ota ownerof Tireman Studios for a morning of fun and learning. This intro to block printing class will flatten the learning curve by using Styrofoam and shaping tools to teach the basic technique. No sliced fingers or busted knuckles! Students will carve designs, ink the blocks, and then print graphic images on paper. Shogo will walk students through the design principles and methods that create successful prints and offer hands-on assistance during the printing process.
Class is free; all materials provided. Registration required. Space is limited. Suitable for adults.
Presented in collaboration with Stanwood Camano Arts Advocacy Commission.
