Class Description: Tall Trees Pyrography Workshop

Join Crystal of Mosstangle Arts for a woodsy wood burning adventure. Bring a friend and create lasting memories while you immerse yourself in the art of pyrography in this laid-back and cozy setting.

What to Expect: In this 2.5 hour class, Crystal will guide you through the fascinating world of wood burning. Starting with instructions on using a professional wood burning tool, you'll learn the art of coordinating hand movements to achieve desired burn lines, shading, and texture elements. Dive into step-by-step guidance on designing and creating your evergreen tree art with a sense of depth and texture.

No drawing skills required – templates will be provided for those who prefer a little more guidance.

Unleash Your Creativity: This class is designed to be relaxed and fun -- free from the pressure of perfection. Crystal believes there are no "mistakes" in art, and encourages you to let go of worries and enjoy the tactile, meditative, and empowering nature of pyrography. Crystal will also encourage you to discover your unique "style" of wood burning, fostering your creative journey.

You'll also learn about wood burning safety, finishes, and wood art aftercare.

What's included: 

- Live edge basswood plank (5 - 6 in x 10 - 12 in) 

- All the tools you will need to create your own design and burn it into the wood

- Wood Conditioning oil to protect your board 

- Step by step design instruction by artist and pyrographer Crystal Bailar

Class Cancelation Policy

Registration will close 3 days prior to the class. We require a minimum of 5 participants for classes to run. It's more fun for students! If we cancel the class due to low registration, you will receive a full refund. (If you want to make sure the class happens...invite your friends! :) )
